In 2013, Roland Pickstock, Mike Harris and CEO Ben Bawtree-Jobson officially formed SiFi Networks; a USA based firm with the sole purpose of providing a turnkey solution for municipalities looking to improve, create or expand their last mile fiber optic infrastructure.
Our founding members are invaluable assets to SiFi Networks. Through the utilization of their knowledge and experience, they have created a unique opportunity and play highly active roles in all facets of the business. The combination of both Mike’s experience in the industry with Roland and The Pickstock Group’s construction expertise, provide an excellent foundation from which to deliver numerous FTTH networks simultaneously across the world.
Roland Pickstock is a British entrepreneur who began his career at an early age, when he was just 19, Roland formed his first construction company, a company which is still operating today (Pickstock Construction) and forms part of The Pickstock Group of companies. Thirty years later the group has a turnover of over $350m with successful trading businesses across construction, property development, manufacturing and food. The group has true international experience and works in both the private and public sector, on projects such as London 2012 and the G8 Summit.
A British entrepreneur with an excellent track record in the communications industry. Nine years after leaving school, he founded his first company, building on the experience he gained working for British Telecom (BT). The company eventually became known as TNS (Total Network Solutions), whilst growing the business, Mike won several awards, including becoming one of the UK’s fastest growing companies with a three year compounded growth of 80%. TNS were one of the country’s leading IT solutions firms, installing and maintaining many significant Cisco based solutions and being recognized as having the best technical support and engineering capacity in their area.
In 2001, Mike was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst and Young, and subsequently sold Total Network Solutions to BT in 2005. He now chairs a number of companies including Voice Comms Warehouse – a leading distributor of communications and security products – and owns The New Saints football club Welsh football champions, a sport for which Mike is very passionate.
