SiFi Networks | Full-Time | 80% Field-Based, 20% Remote

SiFi Networks is expanding its FiberCity® project and is looking for a Community Relations Specialist (CRS) to lead engagement efforts in Oceanside and Escondido, CA. This role is ideal for a proactive, community-minded professional who thrives on problem-solving, increasing public awareness, and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, businesses, and key stakeholders to foster awareness and support for FiberCity®.  

• Conduct daily site visits to construction areas to address community concerns and ensure transparent communication.  

• Serve as a primary liaison between the community and SiFi Networks, resolving resident inquiries and project-related concerns.  

• Organize and participate in local events, presentations, and meetings to educate the public about FiberCity®.  

• Distribute marketing and informational materials to enhance project visibility.  

• Develop and manage partnerships with key community stakeholders.  

• Provide regular updates on community engagement efforts via weekly and monthly reports.  

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, or a related field OR 3-5 years of experience in community outreach, business development, or public engagement.  

• Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with experience leading both small and large group discussions.  

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.  

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).  

• Business and/or public event planning experience preferred.  

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.  

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license for daily travel.  

• Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening and weekend events.  

• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. for event setup. 

Work Location & Travel Expectations: 

• 80% field-based, 20% office (remote) position with daily territory visits.  

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.  

• Occasional out-of-market travel may be required for training and meetings with national project administrators.
