First Homes Get Connected to Kenosha FiberCity® Network
Monday, July 22, 2024
Residents in Kenosha are now being connected to SiFi Networks’ Kenosha FiberCity® network, delivering speeds amongst the fastest in US.
(Kenosha, WI – July 22) Kenosha FiberCity® has moved into the connection phase of the project now that the first area of the city has gone live.
Kenosha FiberCity® is partnering with internet service provider T-Mobile Fiber to provide lightning-fast, residential fiber internet. Plans start at $55/mo and include options for 500 Mbps, 1 Gig, and 2 Gig speeds. With this service, customers will enjoy equal upload and download speeds and a Wi-Fi 6 router included in the price of the plan. Residents will also enjoy freedom and peace of mind, knowing they don’t have to worry about installation fees, annual contracts or exploding bills.
Residents should keep an eye on their mailboxes for more information regarding availability, or they can visit T-MobileFiber.com/Kenosha to see if service is available at their address and get signed up in minutes.
When complete, the network will provide speeds of up to 10 Gbps to Kenosha’s households, businesses and institutions.
“We are delighted to have started connecting homes to the FiberCity® network. This fiber infrastructure project will deliver digital sustainability, equality and opportunity, putting Kenosha on the map for its ability to stride forward in today’s digital world” commented Ben Bawtree Jobson, CEO of SiFi Networks.
Kenosha FiberCity® is open access, meaning multiple providers can join the network to deliver internet services.
The Kenosha FiberCity® team, including SiFi Networks and T-Mobile Fiber, has actively engaged with the community since construction started, sponsoring city events and charitable organizations as well as hosting food truck events.
In September last year SiFi Networks announced its digital inclusion contribution in partnership with the Public Library, supporting the city’s digital literacy program with educational sponsorships and the donation of a Digital Curiosity Station with 12 new computer tablets and a mobile charging station for young library visitors.
Construction will continue across the city as Kenosha FiberCity® continues to connect properties to the network. For further information and to learn more about the network please visit kenoshafibercity.com
