Fullerton Fiber Event

Monday, June 17, 2019

SiFi Networks was delighted to have met residents and business owners of Fullerton on June 15 to present to them their plans for the Fullerton FiberCity™.

The event took place at Fullerton Library and is the first of a series of events SiFi Networks has in store to help the community fully understand what the 100% fiber network means to the city, its people and future.

“We want to ensure that everyone in the city is educated on the build out of the FiberCity™, to not only let them know what to expect on their street but also educate them on what services they can expect to their home, and the benefits the network will bring to the city as a whole.” Commented Sara Pickstock, Marketing Director at SiFi Networks.

Attendees enjoyed a light breakfast followed by a presentation from the CEO of SiFi Networks, Ben Bawtree-Jobson, Scott Mailman Construction Director at SiFi Networks and Joshua Auerbach, Director of Operations at Corbel, the construction contractor laying the fiber network .

The presentation covered a whole host of areas to ensure people went away with a good understanding of the FiberCity™.

The event was also a great opportunity for attendees to meet their internet service providers who were present with lots of useful information to hand about the services they will deliver over the network to both residents and businesses.

One of the main attractions at the library was a microtrencher which was parked outside of the library for people to see exactly what will be used to construct the network.

“We would like to thank those that came along to the event. It is crucially important to us to ensure we educate and inform the City’s residents and businesses throughout the construction programme. We want to work together to ensure a smooth light up of Fullerton.” Commented Ben Bawtree-Jobson, CEO SiFI Networks.
