SiFi Networks acted as a sponsor for Craig Settles’ article “Show Me the (Hidden) Money for community Broadband.”
The article demonstrates the different ways in which a city can fund a community broadband project.
Many communities feel they cannot achieve a fiber optic network in their city due to the lack of money however that is not the case any longer.
SiFi Networks enters into a Private Public Partnerships with cities to fund, build and operate fiber optic networks upon which internet service providers can deliver next generation applications to the community.
“SiFi Networks’ FiberCity™ model offers the city a low risk option in which municipalities can own their own broadband infrastructure with no tax increase to the residents” commented Ben Bawtree-Jobson CEO of SiFi Networks.
“The city in fact enters into a long-term lease with SiFi Networks and then can sell access to their network to internet service providers.” Added Bawtree-Jobson.
