It seems that everyone is talking about fiber. Some cities across the USA are already lucky enough to have fiber connection and others are desperately trying to install a fiber optic network. When you look at all of the benefits fiber can bring it is easy to see why it’s such a hot topic.
It has been seen that fiber can change a whole city, financially, politically and socially.
Residents and businesses alike are frustrated by slow upload and download speeds, limitations on the number of devices and restrictions on global connectivity.
Fiber could solve all of that and more. It won’t only be residents and businesses that will benefit but the whole city. Fiber connections also bring less publicized advantages such as to the police departments, fire departments and educational institutes within a city.
Above all else fiber can really put a city on the map, enticing new businesses to set up in the area and new residents to move in.
“So many cities want fiber, people are becoming more and more aware of the benefits it can bring; faster, more reliable internet. Everyone we speak to in the communities we are working with are so eager to see fiber come to their city” Commented Sara Pickstock, Marketing and Communications Director at SiFi Networks.
“What we do here at SiFi Networks is work with cities that have the desire and ambition to build a fiber optic network but aren’t sure or confident in how to make that ambition a reality” she added.
SiFi Networks build, fund and operate fiber optic networks allowing service providers to deliver dozens of next generation applications including superfast internet, video and phone.
