Construction& Restoration

Prior to any work commencing, you will see colored flags placed by your local utility providers. These identify where their infrastructure is located to ensure we work safely through your area avoiding any conflicts with existing utilities.

We will be utilizing different deployment methods throughout the multiple phases of the build in your neighborhood, which typically takes up to 90 days to complete, depending on weather conditions.

Phase 1: Our team will be marking out areas on your street with water based white or pink paint prior to installing ground level chambers (24” x 36”) to support the next phase of construction. This typically takes 5-10 days.

Phase 2: This typically starts 14-21 days after the completion of phase 1. Using specialized machines, we will bore under driveways, trees, and across roads. We may need to briefly place boring machinery on your property to enable us to complete parts of this phase. If this applies to your property, we will knock on your door to advise you of our presence. You may see black pipe sticking out of the ground, the pipes will be marked and then buried during the next phase of construction.

Phase 3: You will receive a second notice prior to this phase starting, typically 45-60 days after phase 2. We will now create a trench in the greenbelt approximately 4 inches wide and 8-12 inches deep where our infrastructure will be placed and the soil backfilled.

Phase 4: Depending on weather conditions, the restoration crew will return to complete the remediation.  As part of our restoration efforts your property may be treated with hydroseed or grass matting. Hydroseeding is a process where a mixture of grass seed, fertilizer, mulch, and a binding agent is sprayed to quickly establish new grass and restore disturbed areas.

Hydroseeding – What is applied?
Grass seed (approved blend for your area)
Fertilizer to encourage growth
Paper/fiber mulch to hold moisture
Tackifier (binding agent) to help the mixture stay in place

Hydroseeding – How to maintain your new lawn
Watering is essential. Lightly water 2–3 times per day, keeping the soil moist until grass reaches 2–3 inches tall.
Limit activity. Avoid walking, mowing, or disturbing the area until grass is established.
First mowing. Wait until the grass is 3–4 inches tall. Use sharp mower blades.
Ongoing care. Continue watering during dry periods. Fertilize again after 6–8 weeks if desired.

Hydroseeding – What to expect
Germination typically begins within 7–14 days, depending on weather and watering.
Full coverage can take 4–6 weeks.
Some patchiness is normal; areas usually fill in with time and proper care.

Important: The success of the hydroseeded area depends heavily on homeowner watering and care. Without consistent watering, the grass will not properly establish.

Once the hydroseeding or grass matting has been laid, you may remove the flags.
