Simi Valley, CA – 08 December 2021 – It’s the reason for the season! Simi Valley FiberCity® is thrilled to announce their sponsorship of the Spark of Joy Toy Drive and Christmas at the Simi Valley Town Center event on December 11th.
The Toy Drive is spearheaded by the Fire Departments of Ventura County, who collect new, unwrapped toys for underserved children in Ventura County. They will be collecting donations at the December 11th event which is sure to be filled with holiday cheer and is a highlight for Simi Valley residents.
This year’s event includes a Holiday Circus, Story Time with Mrs Claus as well as the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
“We are excited to get involved in the city’s events, and this one is the start of many, the Toy Drive is for a fantastic cause and we are thrilled to help sponsor it” commented Geoff Spickler, VP of Community Relations Simi Valley FiberCity®.
“We will also be at the event from 2pm, we can’t wait to start meeting the community and telling them all about the Simi Valley FiberCity® project, so please come and say hi!” added Geoff.
Early in 2022 there will be a weekly Eat and Greet event where the community can come and learn more about the project and their internet service providers that will be on the network, while enjoying a taco on us. Keep a close eye on social media pages for when the truck starts and its location.
Simi Valley FiberCity® will provide more than just a high speed fiber internet connection to Simi Valley. The open access network will be available to multiple providers to deliver service upon, giving consumers more choice. The network will be built citywide giving every household the opportunity to connect and will help to close the digital divide.
